COMMUNITY

Lucia’s Sarto isn’t just a business in Kansas City or on the Internet, we take pride in actively being part of the community.

We’re part of the community and our client’s footprints help us become so much more then we could be on our own – we become more than the facts, more than the black and white numbers, or the colored threads and fabrics of our business, more than the emotions and quality we put into our work – we become more because our clients footprints cover the broader community (cover the world even). Lucia’s Sarto garments and alterations are seen in law offices across the street, walking into gyms, walking out of work and down the street or getting into cars, walking down an isle, onto dance floors, underpinning the gaze of a photographer’s lens, in Chubby’s late at night after a date (when it was there), at The Capital Grille, in Zócalo, Rosedale Bar-B-Q, Taqueria Mexico #1, Blue Koi Noodles & Dumplings, at the local park, at the opera, down town, up town, in the hand-me-down clothes from a relative or a thrift store, to your grandmother’s vintage wedding dress, at Kansas City Power & Light District, strolling down by Martini Corner, and in many, many, more places in our community. Nataliya’s designs and Lucia’s Sarto alterations lead a wondrous life throughout the Midwest, the United States, and global fashion.

Business aside though, Lucia’s Sarto is also part of a flourishing community of artists and professionals which raise us up and help us be even bigger.

Lucia’s Sarto is extremely thankful for the very strong fashion community in the greater Kansas City area. Without the fantastic, direct, and continued support of the very wonderful professional partners in photography, modeling, makeup, the arts, and much more – Lucia’s Sarto would definitely not be anywhere near where we are today. Kansas City has an exceedingly exceptional fashion show community culminated by the Kansas City Fashion Week Shows and West 18th Street Fashion Shows – with an extremely rich selection of shows of varying sizes in-between, for all types participants, all categories, and all fan types – what a truly fantastic fashion community to be a part of, with something for everyone. It’s within this community where we found lasting relationships, where we found local charities, where we found colleges supporting fashion – this is where we found our community.

Giving back to the community is key, companies call this ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ – we at Lucia’s Sarto call it the right thing to do.

While Lucia’s Sarto contributes to numerous community organizations (Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City, One Community Hospice, The Eric Berry Foundation, Hope House, and Fashion Honors Autism) with the goal of helping those in need, we actually focus on two specific charities in the Kansas City area, Volunteer KC which strives to help the homeless and Communities In Schools of Mid-America which directly reduces school dropout rates. We ask you to please use the links below to review the different charitable organizations and see if you can help, get involved, tell others about them (actively share to your social community), or if possible, donate your time or funds to help make a difference. The homeless in our community, the children in our community need your help – help starts with us taking the first steps forward – we can make the difference together!

In our final words on community, we want to speak loud and clear, as owners of Lucia’s Sarto we are extremely thankful for ALL of those who help us be successful, not the least of which is our fabulous team who’s very hard work creates one sturdy section of our foundation – our team helps us be who we are, they help us make a difference and truly help us be successful. As previously mentioned above, our clients create another solid side of our foundation, and it’s through the support of our partners in photography, modeling, and makeup, as well as, our friends and partners in charity who have truly helped complete the very solid Lucia’s Sarto foundation – making us a well established business in the Kansas City and broader Midwest community.

Thank you all,
Nataliya “Lucia” CEO/CDO Owner and Don CFO/COO
